Yes. Students examine food-market squid with gloved hands and blunt tools, including internal anatomy opened by an instructor. Please contact us before enrolling if your child has a squid or shellfish allergy or needs an alternative activity.

Students design and reinforce model hulls. An instructor operates the vacuum testing equipment to compare how the hulls respond to inward pressure. This is a classroom engineering model, with a separate hull for the pressure test.
